LUXURY ACCOMMODATION ON THE OSA PENINSULA
The Luxury of Being Unplugged
The first ecolodges arrived on the Osa Peninsula in the 1990s.
The Republic of Costa Rica at this time began to widely married its economic future to the relatively new concept of ecotourism and Costa Rica became one of the world’s most prominent examples of sustainable development. In the 1990s, the last of the big mining companies left the Osa, and the first full-service eco-lodges on the peninsula started to developed.
And with that, ecotourism takes hold.
Today, the Osa Peninsula is dominated by Corcovado National Park and its influences on the surrounding lands. And along with pristine Golfo Dulce tropical fjord, conservation has grown. The luxury accommodation below strives to adhere to the true nature of ecotourism while providing an upscale experience.

Osa Rainforest
The Osa Peninsula is a magical place. Within this area exists Central America’s largest swath of intact lowland rainforest on the Pacific Coast and home to an estimated 250,000 of all the living species in the world. Incredible isn’t it! And that’s just what is on land.
The volume and variety of wildlife you’ll find here is unbelievable. All four Costa Rican monkey species, two kinds of sloths, two types of anteaters, collared peccary, caiman, crocodiles, poison dart frogs and hundreds of colorful bird species are commonly seen. It’s also home to rare species such as the Baird’s Tapir, jaguars and harpy eagles.
