RIO ESQUINAS ESTUARY

The Esquinas River, the second largest in the Golfo Dulce, is also its wildest and most pristine. Crossing the gulf by boat, you may spot dolphins, whales (in season), sea turtles, and seabirds before entering the river’s red-mangrove-lined mouth. As we drift deeper, the forest shifts to towering white mangroves, their roots weaving intricate mazes alive with birdcalls.
