THE OSA PENINSULA
The Osa Peninsula is a haven for EcoTourism with two-thirds of the peninsula taken up by the incredible Corcovado National Park and while being nestled between the tropical fjord Golfo Dulce, which is a bio gem of marine life, and the warm Pacific Ocean.
This Natural Playground is yours to discover; birding, wildlife photography, wellness retreats, hiking within the natural world, swimming in a tropical fjord, or just listening to the sounds of nature…and with natural hidden gems everywhere, it’s an experience not found elsewhere.
EcoLodges took root in the 1990s and flourished along with conservation in Costa Rica. There is accommodation to suit everyone from ecolodges in the rainforest, to resorts by the beach, to hotels in our little villages.
The main village of the Osa Peninsula is Puerto Jimenez, which lies next to the tropical fjord Golfo Dulce. And a drive of just under 6 hours from San Jose, or a flight of 45 minutes, gets you to the magical natural world of the Osa Peninsula Costa Rica.
